King of Sumava: Phantom of the Dark Region – Episode 3

To begin with, this was only supposed to be a three-part series. As you can see, Voyu doesn't lack the chutzpah to make a three-part series, with the last episode giving everyone a clear indication that not everything is finished and the next story will take place in the second season.

The last episode of King of the Bohemians is only interesting because the famous smuggler Hasil was about to get married. He went on to convert people and be rude to the commander. He got away with everything. The philandering, the not going to work, the lying like prints… Even the smuggling, the normal families survived , and the partisans, quite simply, were shot in action.

I really don't know what it's really like, I guess I'm just not old enough, nor do I know anything about the Sumava Border Meadows, but unfortunately I really have to grumble at the scriptwriting crutches and simplifications.

Let's just say that Hasil's "smuggling" is very simplistic, he just transfers his people or gets behind the shootouts. Hasil certainly knows he **kills everyone, and that his sweetheart, as pretty as she is, is just plain simple.

Watching each episode, almost 3 hours in total, is quite an ordeal. I'm sure better writers would have made a nice two-hour movie that didn't deal with the main character's shenanigans and surroundings.

The wedding was clearly meant to signal its success, but unfortunately, due to screenwriting practices, it showed the show not addressing anything at all. There are already a lot of dead, good people, and as you can see, the story of Hasil in the first season has no resolution.

Unfortunately, I have to condemn this series, everything could definitely have been resolved scripted differently. Let Hasil get married, let him be with his love. But no, the writers simply decided that the last episode of the third episode would show that Hasil just doesn't have the sense to show his father-in-law that he cares about his (pregnant) wife.
