She was born in Pilsen, but her heart beats for Syria. As a chef at a small Pilsen bistro, she combines Czech and Syrian cuisine to introduce guests to the authentic flavours of the Middle East. What is it like growing up between two cultures and bringing a piece of Syria to Czech plates?

Biography:
Hibi Ramadan was born and raised in Pilsen, where she spent her entire childhood. She received her education in local schools, from kindergarten to college. Even though Pilsen is her home, her family roots go back to Syria, which has greatly influenced her lifestyle and career. The family tried to keep Syrian traditions alive even in the Czech environment, which shaped her strong connection to both cultures.

Career:
After her studies, she started cooking intensively and currently works as a chef at a bistro in Pilsen, where she combines Czech and Syrian cuisine. Her specialty is hummus, which she prepares from authentic Syrian ingredients, including tahina, which she imports directly from the Middle East. She is also producing podcasts about food and culture and preparing her first gastronomic festival.

Cuisine and style:
Hibi Ramadanova is known for bringing the authentic taste of Syrian food to Czech audiences. She prepares hummus and other dishes according to her grandmother's traditional recipes. The bistro has a family atmosphere, where guests can not only eat well but also learn more about Syrian culture.

Personal life:
I despite considering herself a patriot of the Czech Republic, she feels a strong connection to her family's roots in Syria. She dedicates her free time to cooking and developing new projects that combine her two greatest passions - cooking and multicultural traditions.
