The Doctor, played by David Tennant, has returned for a new season of the most famous sci-fi series that began a new chapter in 2005. His partner, in the stories, is once again Catherine Tate. And in their story together, after a long separation, they have once again thrown themselves into "the case", where we are once again faced with the destruction of the Earth – this time London.
When you take the director and also the writer, Russell T Davies, we are once again returning to the classic progression of the early seasons of the modern series. The Doctor, with the help of his partner, solves the case and saves the world once again. His mission is to solve the convoluted space rocket case while not destroying his love. As fans probably know, Donna can't help but remember her history and how she saved the world.
The resolution of this story is quite interesting and the "Beast" of the stars is not as good as he seems, and it's only because Donna has her daughter that everything works out so that the main couple can continue in the next episodes.
But we all know that the return of the Tenth (14th) Doctor means he'll only last a few episodes. Rather, it's more about how the brand can be re-established so that the Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwe, can continue. The story of the first special sees us revisiting a popular slightly convoluted plot that unravels quickly, and we learn everything we need to know during the hour-long special to keep track of the other special episodes planned for this Christmas.
The Time Lord has had his 60 years, and for new fans, the first episode of the new 14th season is the best thing to come for the online service. It's a great shame, though, that some public television station isn't repeating it so we can get pumped up for future episodes.
