About the Project
I enjoyed the casting from the first moment. I've been tempted to dub an animated fairy tale for a long time, and when I learned that Marek Lambora would play King Miroslav, I had no problem. Mark and I are classmates from the conservatory and we have a close relationship, so the whole project was quite moving.
Inspired by the famous play
I wasn't very inspired by the original version. The animated form gives a new dimension to the story, and that's why the directors and I explored new possibilities directly when dubbing the animated Krasomila.
Collaborating with Mark Lambora
As I mentioned, I've known Mark for a long time and that was one of the main reasons why I decided to dub Krasomila. We didn't meet while dubbing, but we did meet while recording the theme song with Ondrej Brzobohaty. Working with both Mark and Ondrej is always great!
Favorite scenes
The fall into the fountain and the log ride were the most fun during dubbing. My favourite scene from the original version is the scene where the shoemaker dances and sings in the kingdom.
About the singing of Krasomila and the movie songs
I really liked the songs. Although I always have a bit of respect for singing, working with Ondrej Brzobohatý was great and everything went smoothly.
Marek Lambora - The Voice of Prince Miroslav
About the Project
I love animated films, and I enjoy dubbing perhaps even more. So the offer to voice Prince Miroslav in the new animated version of The Proud Princess excited me. Plus, we were dubbing from scratch, which meant there were no moving pictures yet and we had to create the sound, which was a big challenge.
Inspired by the famous live-action version
The original film was not an inspiration for me, because the animated version required a different approach. For the second version of the recording, when the scenes were already finished, I focused on the reactions of the animated characters and their situations.
Collaborating with Anna Fialova
It was a fantasy! I hope Anička will say the same. When I found out she was going to dub Krasomila, I was delighted. We were both touched to see some of the scenes together while filming the songs.
Favorite scene
I enjoyed the last fight scene in the mill the most. It was an action packed affair where there was always something going on, so I got sweaty at the microphone i which I love.

About taking on the role of the villain
The role of the main villain Maximus appealed to me because it is clearly a villainous character. I was pleased to see that the new version of the tale was free of the ideological overlay that was evident in the original version.
Inspired by the original villain
I did not follow the original character of Milos Kopecký. There was no animation when the first version was made, so I was free to create my own villain. However, with the final version, I was already constrained by the English version, which was filmed earlier.
Favorite scene
The scene where my mentors repeat "Did they... did they... did they?" has been my favorite since I was a kid. I was looking forward to it.

About the making of the music
The music was created in a similar way to the whole film - with enthusiasm and intensive collaboration with the directors over a period of five years. We tried to preserve the original orchestral legacy of Dalibor Vačkář and at the same time bring a contemporary sound. We were able to use the theme "Develop the bud" thanks to the consent of the heirs and in modified form, it appears in the title song.
Choosing the Performers
In the film, the actors themselves sang the songs, which was a decision by the directors to make the singing fit their characters.
