Even a very experienced comedic actor wants to be seen regularly on TV and on the internet. One actor who has already made his money and is looking to throw himself into new projects is Rowan Atkinson. He rose to fame with Mr. Bean, which has had only the bare minimum of sequels. Then he did a Bond parody and a series about a French detective. And his latest addition to the "comedy" acting scene is a house-sitter in the Netflix series Bee in the Fly.
Beeee in the Fly is set to be one of the blockbusters. It's a nine-part series that has individual episodes around ten minutes long, so it's a good series to cut an evening short.
To start with, it's a series that one character has to pull off, and the other actors just have little barks. And so the only one who barely leaves the screen is the lead actor. It's what he's been standing on the whole time, and now it's a question of whether it's really worth watching the show.
For true fans of Mr. Bean won't be disappointed, Rowan Atkinson, once again, plays his absent-minded divorced loner who does things the right way, but unfortunately not the right way for the public.
His adversary is a bee. Even if we take it that way, it's not a bee, it's a drone, and perhaps due to poor translation or the intention of the creators, who knows it's actually a "bumblebee". This bee moves into his guarded apartment and becomes his enemy, almost killing his dog, destroying a prize book, etc.. you know.. typical Mr. Bean.
Atkinson's most famous character at least had the benefit of not intentionally destroying the entire neighborhood around him. This time, in some cases, it's over the edge, and so it wasn't Mr. Bean, but rather the destroyer of worlds and houses around him.The CGI bee is utterly indestructible as an adversary, and so within an hour he successfully survives being drowned, sucked out, burned, etc..
I sadly didn't like the series that much, it was too embarrassing and I would rather, really like Rowan Atkinson to return to Maigret, which is 4 episodes short of a sequel.
I mustn't forget the dubbing, the main character was dubbed by Tomas Seagull, which is a good voice but not suitable at the moment 
for this series.
