So Netflix has brought us series news again. New Bodies brings us four stories that will bring us the stories of detectives investigating a murder mystery. Set in 1890, 1941, 2023, and 2053, we're treated to investigations that gradually reveal the story of a dead body and the interconnectedness of a sect that gradually affects the entire world.
We start with the first episode, where we learn who all is investigating a mysterious dead body with no biography and the mysterious interconnectedness of all the wealthy who are evading justice and the future.
When you get right down to it, the story is simple, the writers have managed to tie everything together so that we learn every piece of the puzzle in each episode, so that everything ends up the way it should.
But you can really see that the creators have tried to connect all the important elements so that the whole series can connect each episode to each person, so that it's connected.
The most important element of the series is the line in 2023, when policewoman Hasan discovers a mysterious terrorist cell that causes the destruction of London.
The 1890 and 1941 storyline is dedicated to explaining the story of the main villain, who is dedicated to his sheep and his "future" self in 2053 and 1890 as part of his "sect."
We saw all the episodes as part of Saturday's marathon and it's good that the creators managed to complete all 4 story lines successfully. With that said, a second season is definitely planned, as the last episode changed our past, in a good way, doesn't immediately mean a positive outcome.
When I look at the movie database, Stephen Graham is the most famous movie and TV star from England. He's known from Pirates of the Caribbean and New Hellboy. The other actors are less well known, but their profiles are easy to find. I'm sure we've seen them before and don't know it. The director of half of the series is from Germany and the other half was directed by the director of an episode of Time Lord (Legend of the Sea Devils (S13E08)).
I'm glad we saw this series, it was a lot to watch. My rating: 60%
