Ema Kremská, a 26-year-old young woman originally from Bratislava, who currently lives in Prague, cannot imagine life without animals, nature and her great passion for cooking. "I would describe myself as an overall animal lover. I like everybody, I just don't like spiders very much," Ema smiles.

Cats have a special place in her heart. "For me, cats are terribly intelligent creatures. We have communication with each other and such a special coexistence. It's not like having a fish at home that you just look at. With a cat, you can i  "talk"."

Love for nature and herbalism

Aside from animals, Ema is a big nature lover. She likes to go foraging for herbs and wild fruits. "There are so many things growing in nature that are full of nutrients and super comforting to our health, and no one collects them. It's a shame to see, for example, mirabelles or elderberries falling to the ground and rotting. Yet they can be made into great jams, syrups and teas," she explains with enthusiasm.

She finds nature a source of energy and calm. "When I'm outdoors, I feel a great calm. Just lying down on the grass or touching the water me much better."

Ema also enjoys making various tinctures and infusions. "Nettle is perfect for acne, for example. When I was in my teens and was bothered by mini acne on my back, it was nettle that helped me. Just drink fresh nettle tea for a month and skin clears up."

Fighting for women's equality in the kitchen

Ema is not only an avid herb collector, but also a keen cook. She speaks with passion about the inequalities that women forever face in gastronomy. "Every woman who works in the kitchen has encountered the feeling of being inferior to men at times. Cookery is a demanding job, but I certainly don't think it's only for men. Even women can handle it on the same credit level."

This is what she wants to fight for equality for women in the culinary world. "In Hell's Kitchen, I'm not just fighting for myself, but also for all women who love cooking and want to show that they have nothing to fear."

Ema Kremsky is proof that a love for nature, animals and justice can go hand in hand with a determination to change entrenched stereotypes. Her story inspires not only young women, but anyone who wants to do what they truly enjoy.
