So three more episodes. "Game of Thrones" is quickly moving into its final episode of the season. Episode seven brought us some new things. First, new houses that we haven't seen all season. Second, the originally dead characters we left behind when they knocked on Heaven's Gate. There's Arya, who unfortunately hasn't been forgiven.
This time around, we're not getting a story that's going by leaps and bounds as the season ends; rather, it's a story that's going to give the main characters a hard time. Jon Snow and his sister Sansa have been gradually reaching out to their kindred families since the previous episode, hoping for their support. It's tough when there are only two Stark survivors who have the status to do something about their situation. There probably aren't many episodes left to prepare for an attack against the Boltons.
The second line, which features a character who was abandoned by the cameras just before his death, again shows normal life in the woods, with a group of normal people, no lords, ladies or knights, deciding to build a chapel in peace. Let's not forget the aftermath of Arya's actions in the previous episode, when what we expect to happen in a matter of minutes plays out.
We'll also return to King's Landing, where things couldn't be worse for the kingdom. The entire kingdom is already run by a sect of Sparrows who have subjugated the king and his queen with their beliefs.
With next week's episode, things are about to get ugly. In the preview, we're finally going to get into the thick of the battle, with our favourite heroes and, most importantly, knights. I'm sure a lot of heads will be chopped off, a lot of opponents will be killed. Hopefully, the creators will only kill a few favorite characters.
The June 6, 2016 episode (a lovely date) brought us such a small delay to the finale. A bit of a slowdown to the final battles. I'm sure the creators have a few more surprises in store for us. I hope the creators didn't use up all the shocking moments in the previous episodes. But it's the weakest episode in this series so far, and it didn't move the story much, just slowed down the narrative so that everything could happen next episode. I'm expecting the penultimate episode to be the best (hopefully it won't disappoint me) and the last one to be the finale, where the creators will definitely surprise us with something new to make us anticipate the new season. Hopefully it'll be as big as the death of Night's Watch commander Jon Snow.
