MAN OF STEEL – Blu-ray 3D 2D Futurepak / Metalpak

There's not much need for a review of the film on Blu-ray, I reviewed the film back on June 16, but I'll quote a few sentences from the review.

"The villain, played by Michael Shannon, is well chosen, but in the context of the action and his characterization, it would be bad if he wasn't played well. Fortunately, that didn't happen, the actor was chosen well and managed to find charisma in the villain. "

"Not that it's a bad film, but a completely standalone film with no continuity to previous history is not entirely good. What's missing then are fans who can enjoy the new take on the characters. "

"Hans Zimmer's music is unfortunately uninteresting and only action. I really expected that at least the characteristic Superman march would return at some point, unfortunately it doesn't. "

And now for the Blu-ray. The entire Blu-ray is beautifully packaged it a steel Metalpak package. It will be well placed in your collection of quality films, and you'll see at a glance where you have the film. There are 2 discs in the package. One has a 3D version of the film and the other a 2D version. So you don't have to buy a 3D TV/monitor right away for this movie.

Although you will enjoy the movie best in 3D picture, the 2D version is also of great quality. When watching the Blu-ray image, it's good that the filmmakers left the digital film grain, it gives the whole film a more realistic look, even though the film was probably shot digitally. So the picture is flawless.

The sound is also perfect. The original will once again test your sound boxes. The Czech dubbing is one of the better dubs. It's also good that the usual dubbers have been retained for the well-known actors, so people can enjoy the film without being forced to read the subtitles.

On the disc, we also discover bonus features in which we learn a bit about the history of Superman. There's also some information about the physical training of the actors so that they can play their characters to the best of their abilities. These are documentaries that will only show the American swagger we already know. That this is the best movie they have worked on, the best director and more. The third bonus is an interview between the actor who plays the 13 year old Superman and the filmmakers, where you will learn some interesting information about Superman's home planet.

It's a great shame that no one else has thought to add bonus features that are similar to Lord of the Rings/Hobbit. I would have liked to learn some more things, like filming techniques, new systems used, etc.

It's a big attraction that the Blu-ray also adds information about the second installment of The Hobbit.

You won't go wrong buying the Blu-ray this time, it's a must for Superman fans. Collectors of quality media can definitely buy the film as well, as this film will not be lost in their collection.
