The creators of Shrek sat down one fine day and agreed to give one character from Shrek a chance and give him a 90-minute slot to explain his history before he met a green ogre named Shrek. They've incorporated all of this into a beautiful 3D coat and we have a very good tale that, while not as good as the first Shrek installment, still has something going for it and is definitely worth seeing.
The direction is by Chris Miller, who has already made the highly successful Shrek, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, Madagascar and Monsters vs. Aliens. These films gave him enough experience to make another very good fairy tale, which The Cat in the Boots 3D definitely is.
What I have to single out about the fairy tale is definitely the 3D image. It's absolutely amazing, and while most people say it doesn't matter, I beg to differ. After all, 3D technology is new to people, and not a pleasant one for some. For me, however, it is, and I really admire any film shot well in 3D. Yes, maybe sometimes the 3D coat is meant to cover up the flaws in a film, but that happens on a small scale and after all, it's harder to make a film in 3D than in HD quality.
If you liked the first Shrek, then definitely don't miss Puss in Boots 3D in theaters. It's worth it!"
