So, once again, the new series of the famous Time Lord - Dr. Who - is coming to television (BBC in England, for now). It's the xth reircanation, but this time, for the first time, a woman is experiencing new episodes as she saves the universe and, more importantly, her beloved planet Earth.
The new Time Lord is already from new producers and has a chance to step in a new direction, and the first episode is one of the introductions. It introduces a new Doctor and new companions.
The Thirteenth Doctor has finished. Capaldi is getting on in years, the jerky life stories have worn him down. Jodie Whittaker's new Doctor has some catching up to do. The previous Doctors from the modern series (Peter Capaldi, David Tennant, Matt Smith and Christopher Eccleston) have done their time. A couple of them have become acting stars (Tennant and Eccleston), others have been stars (Capaldi) and others are not to be missed (Smith - he chose the wrong films). The new actress really has a lot to continue to present and also a name to make for herself.
The new crew around the Doctor is made up of unknown (to our country) actors, and so can only surprise.
The first episode of the new series of the famous Doctor (the Doctor) has taken the Doctor back to Earth and is once again taking on the scum of the universe. A very simple and fast paced story. And against the other Doctors, she's without the Tardis and without a sonic screwdriver and has to go it alone (with companions, that is) against her enemies.
The companions are a bit dull, the black man, the pensioner and the policewoman are unfortunately not as entertaining as Claira, let alone Ami Pond.
But the Minute Doctors had better, more action-packed and entertaining introductions. The long explanations of the Doctor's thought processes detracted from the story, so I think they should have cut something out to give the episode some momentum.
Unfortunately, the rating for the new episode is only barely at the 60%
