The penultimate episode is now online on HBO. And in my opinion, the weakest of the series. I think the creators are setting up the real end of the series by bringing us the utter plot nonsense that will cause the death of so many beloved characters.
Every character that has made it through the entire series up to season four I like in their own way. Even the transition of Dolores into Christina was on the whole a good one, but the penultimate episode, 39 out of 39, destroyed my fantasies.
I was expecting at the beginning of the season that Christina would be a completely new character in which we would follow her story, her life, her love. It didn't happen. With the arrival of Bernard, I expected a capable creator who can work with robots to return again, it didn't happen. And of course Maeve, who all the way from Westworld managed to walk the furthest path to salvation. She disappointed me, too.
And who all died? Well, Maeve and Bernard. And Charlotte, of course, and the original William. Which clearly means that either the new series will continue with a completely new lineup that will return to the ruins of the world, or the series will end with the last episode.
In previous seasons, we were at least clear in the subtitle scene that new issues would be addressed, so I hope that at least in 2 years the series will end with a reasonable season that is better than season 4.
To start with, there are a few things from previous seasons that are not resolved that would definitely be worth revisiting in a final fifth season
I don't even know how to rate this episode, but unfortunately for me it's the weakest episode of the entire series. It's like the creators are on drugs! 20%
